I got highly motivated to start THE ORGANIZING ACADEMY with the launch of its first course the ORGANIZING MINDSET MASTERY after I experienced a severe case of situational disorganization. Situational disorganization is what happens when we lose our grip on our goals, plans, work, routines, tasks and even environment. This usually happens because life throws us curveballs. Although I had been nursing the idea of providing a learning platform for a while as a result of my interactions with people both on and off my job, I wasn’t convinced enough to get it running, until lately.

When I organize for or coach clients, I get questions like “how do you figure it out so easily?” “I hope I can maintain this system?” etc. then off the job, people would ask “how does getting organized payoff?” Is it really possible to have it all figured out every time?” People interested in the business of organizing others have also been asking me how they can learn what I do. I had a business reason to start providing organizing education to more people.  I guess what kept me thinking it over and holding back was the lack of a personal reason. After recovering from severe situational disorganization, I got all the motivation I needed. The decision to put this platform together for you was birthed. This platform is really for you (if you’re someone sincerely seeking an organized life and or having a desire to help others achieve same).

There’s no doubt that, a lot if not all of us can relate to experiences like project deadlines (sometimes, ridiculous deadlines), health challenges, major life transitions such as getting married, moving. We can also relate to events like having kids, starting a new job, developing a new lifestyle etc. The list could go on.

Are you situationally or chronically disorganized?

Situational disorganization, which is characterized by the experiences highlighted above, is just a natural result or a normal after effect of the circumstances that come with everyday life. Situational disorganization, however, is unlike challenging disorganization. Challenging Disorganization also known as chronic disorganization (CD) is a progressive state of disorganization. CD people usually get stuck in a pattern of disorganization. Constantly feeling unaccomplished, experiencing stress and being inundated with tasks, information, ideas and even possessions.

Life happened to me like it does to all of us. I had another baby and a few months later, my family and I had to move. We traveled over a “couple seas”; away from the life, we had grown accustomed to. We were now in a new country with a great deal to learn and adjust to.  I got my thoughts, goals, plans and a couple of other things all over the place. I had family goals, business goals, financial goals, health/fitness goals, self-development goals, spiritual goals. These goals were all linked to various plans that weren’t thoroughly coordinated. This was happening to someone who has been a Professional Organizer/Productivity Coach for some years and was proof that disorganization has got no respect of persons. It was evidence that the tendency to become disorganized will sometimes rear its ugly head in all our lives.

As someone who is about” that charming life”, I was doing my best to be chaos and clutter free. But, I confess that I once had this dreadful feeling that a plethora of ideas and things I wanted to accomplish could explode right in my face. That was my reality and that wasn’t because I wasn’t trying to get it right. Before now, I had already been coaching clients but at this point, I was too overwhelmed to even figure out my own life & work. The truth is, while a few of us haven’t tried to deal with the challenges of being disorganized, some of us are really trying to. The challenge, however, is that some of us are applying the wrong/not-so-effective principles and using the wrong/not-so-effective tools.

Mindset Mastery happened!

With me, the problem was a lack of Mindset Mastery. I had organizing and productivity skills quite alright, but I importantly needed to master my mindset. The mind is the most powerful tool in our possession. The right application of the power of the mind coupled with the most effective organizing skills and tools is highly beneficial. It can lead to the most meaningful improvement in our lives. The quality of our life and work need to improve and it most likely won’t until we make a decision. We must make the decision to acquire and apply the right integrative, iterative, life-cycle systems and design approaches. Applying effective approaches that will get us deeply committed to meaningful organizing (organizing skills that produce the most effective results) is what’ll make the difference.

So, I read, read again, researched and researched again. Then, lo and behold, with some new-found knowledge and some profound secrets coupled with my previous experiences/knowledge, I made a strong resolve. It was a strong resolve and a life changing decision to get it together. With the help of the new secrets I found, I got back on my goals and started ‘crushing’ them. Now, I’m doing great with my health/fitness goals, wealth creation goals, family goals, self-development goals and spiritual goals. I received a whole new level of insight and experienced remarkable transformation through the processes of habit competence, brain design, etc. and by applying the new-found mindset mastery principles that I’ll be sharing with you in the ORGANIZING MINDSET MASTERY program.
