We currently live in a world with an increasing number of stressed women. The statistics and surveys are there to prove that today’s woman needs all the help she can get. A society without its women cannot stand because women are the real architects of society. More so, a society with women who are constantly stuck, stressed and struggling is in a big problem.

According to the American Institute of Stress, women are twice as likely to experience major depression than men and are also up to three times more apt to suffer from anxiety disorders or to attempt suicide. According to a poll by Time Magazine, women were more likely than men to say they experience frequent stress.

As much as stress in itself isn’t considered an illness, living with stress can take a terrible toll on women’s physical and emotional health, as well as other aspects of their lives. Excessive and prolonged stress not properly treated can weaken women’s immune systems.

Stress is a common aspect of life and can have negative consequences for health. These consequences include direct impacts on mental health as well and the onset and progression of physical illness.

Disorganization has often been identified as a main cause of stress both at home, at work and in personal life. Long-term stress contributes to many chronic illnesses which include:

-Heart disease

-Digestive problems

-Sleep disturbances

-Obesity

-Autoimmune diseases

-Cancer

We can’t talk about the problem of stress without addressing the issue of disorganization.

The modern woman is dealing with issues associated with disorganization such as confusion, chaos and clutter. These issues often result in a host of physical, emotional, behavioral, environmental and mental health challenges for women which can lead to the aforementioned illnesses.

The question is how can we help women embrace and enjoy more clarity and order in their daily lives and how can we show them how to go from stressed to strengthened and take their environments (physical, mental and virtual) from cluttered to coordinated.

Research has proven time and time again that the concept of organizing can significantly help reduce our stress levels, improve our mental abilities and overall well-being. Organizing can help us create saner, safer and smarter lives for women. The concept of organizing, like we teach it here at TOA, can ensure healthy lives, improved performance and enhanced outcomes for women of all ages.

We know the everyday struggles of women as regards managing their living and work environments, their tasks, schedules, goals and habits. Even more importantly, we understand their desire for an improved quality of life and we’re well equipped to help women embrace organizing as a way of life. Beyond knowing how to “KonMari” their living and work spaces, women also need to learn how to organize from the inside out by assessing their thoughts, habits, goals and all aspects of their lives.

Here at The Organizing Academy, our vision is a world where everyone is organized and maximizing their fullest potentials. To that effect, we’ve decided to contribute towards helping women improve their quality of life. We’re organizing an annual event tagged: The Organized Business-Woman Event (TOBE).

There’s still hope for today’s woman at TOBE!
